Our Consignment Policy

First, the important part...

You, our consignor, will receive 50% from the proceeds of any items sold. House to House will retain 50%. We will pay you once a month for any of your items sold during the prior month.

And here's how the rest of it works...

You are responsible for getting your consignment merchandise to our shop. If you don't have a way to get it here, we can hook you up with someone who can. Smaller items that are convenient for you to transport may be brought to the shop any day during regular business hours. We'll evaluate them for consignment and accept those items we believe will sell. If you have large items, contact the shop first. We may be able to evaluate them on the basis of your description, a photo, a cushion, etc. If we think it's necessary, we'll be glad to come to your home for an on site evaluation. All items should be clean and gently used. For example, tarnished or dirty items should be polished and/or cleaned in advance. If the shop is required to clean or otherwise prepare an items for display, a charge will be assessed and deducted from the consignor's payment- 10% of the sales item price, not to exceed $10.00. All furniture styles should be reasonably current or otherwise desirable in today's market.

We'll work with you to price your merchandise and will display it for a minimum of 90 days. Prices will be reduced by 20% every 30 days and may also be subject to promotional discounts at the discretion of the Shop. Ownership of any item priced at or under $7.00 at the end of 90 days will revert to the shop. Ownership of any item priced over $7.00 will revert to the Shop if not retrieved by you after 120 days. Any item that becomes the shop's property is subject to the disposition by the shop in the shop's sole discretion. We hope you'll understand that we don't want to own your items, but our space is limited. If you don't retrieve your unsold items, we must have a way to move them out of our shop to make room for new merchandise.

If you decide to consign with us, we'll ask you to sign our Consigment Agreement, which puts our consignment policy in the form of a contract.
